Sikkim Beats Arunachal Pradesh In Cooch Behar Trophy

Sikkim Under 19 Men’s team playing Cooch Behar Trophy (Multi-Day) currently has beaten Arunachal Pradesh on 2nd November 2019 at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha by 121 runs, earning 6 points for the team.

Arunachal Pradesh won the toss and chooses to field first. Sikkim scored 223 runs in the first innings of which Pranav Rajvanshi the opening batsman scored 145 runs becoming the first batsman of the team to score a century of the season. In the first innings of Arunachal Pradesh, they managed to score 195 runs. Sikkim bowlers bowled well to the opponent. Sankalp Singhai took 6 wickets, Md Aadil Alam 3 wickets, and Anwesh Karan Sharma 1 wickets. Sikkim was leading with 28 runs in the first innings.

In the second inning, Sikkim scored 213 runs. Arun Chettri scored 64 runs, Subhojeet Halder (42), Anwesh Karan Sharma (19), Arif Ahmed Ansari (18), Yogesh Gupta (13), Pranav Rajvansi (9), Robin Limboo and Ingsho Limboo (6) each. Chasing the target of 242 runs to win, Arunachal Pradesh was all out for 120 runs. Once again Sikkim bowlers spelled brilliantly. Sankalp Singhai took 4 wickets, Md Aadil and Anwesh 2 wickets each, Ingsho Limboo and Bhim Lal Luitel 1 wicket each.

Sankalp took a total of 10 wickets in this match along with Md Aadil who took 5 wickets. The team is happy with their overall performance and looking forward to the next encounter with Puducherry that will be played on 6th December 2019 at Siechem Stadium, Puducherry.
