CAB offers cricket exchange programme with Northeast States

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president and BCCI Technical Committee chairman Sourav Ganguly on 3rd April 2018 called a meeting at Kolkata with Northeast states cricket bodies to discuss cricket development and exchange programmes between CAB and Northeast states. The meeting was jointly chaired by Ganguly and New Areas Development Programme (NADP) chairman Avishek Dalmiya.

President Lobzang G. Tenzing, General Secretary Sonam Palden Bhutia represented Sikkim Cricket Association (SCA) in the meeting.

During the meeting Ganguly emphasised on having route map for cricketing facilities especially sand based cricket ground, coaches grooming programmes, longer version matches (2/3 days) in Northeast states.

The CAB president also offered exchange programme with Cricket Association of Bengal involving tournaments at Kolkata in November/December. He further discussed about having a special vision programme for 30 selected players, 5 each from Six Northeast states and extend support in other aspects of the game.
