3rd NECDC Achiever’s Awards Night 2024
Sikkim Cricket Association celebrates the achievements of five women cricketers from Sikkim who won awards at the 3rd NECDC Annual Achievers’ Awards Night in Shillong on June 1. Their performances during the 2023-24 season were recognized with seven awards.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Samayita Roy Prodhan for being named the North East Woman Player of the Season and for winning the Best Batter award in the Women’s Under-23 category. Samayita’s outstanding season saw her score 362 runs in the BCCI U23 Women’s One Day and T20 tournaments
We also congratulate Purni Maya Gurung for winning the Best Batter award in the Senior Women’s category and Aakriti Sharma for being honoured as the Best Wicket Keeper in both Women’s U15 and Women’s U19 categories. Additionally, we celebrate Sabita Luitel and Prenu Manger for earning the Best Bowler awards in the Women’s U19 and U15 categories respectively.
We are proud of our support staff who were felicitated on the occasion. Congratulations to coaches Kikam Bhutia and Sonam Palden Bhutia, and physiotherapist Sheril Lepcha.
The Sikkim Cricket Association is immensely proud of these achievements and looks forward to the continued success and growth of our players and staff.
The awards ceremony along with the 9th NECDC Conclave was hosted by Meghalaya Cricket Association. The Sikkim Cricket Association’s delegation led by President Mr. Tika Subba included Treasurer Mr. Mukesh Agarwal, Councillor Mr. Karma Jigme Namgyal, Office staffs and the awardees from Sikkim.
