Sikkim Signs Professional Players For Ranji Trophy 2018-19
Sikkim Cricket Association (SCA) signs three professional players for Ranji Trophy 2018-19 on 18th October 2018 in Siliguri, West Bengal. During the Special General Meeting held on 11th October in Gangtok, it was decided that as per the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) norms SCA will be including the professional players in the team. Bipul Sharma, Ishwar Chaudhary, and Milind Kumar are the professionals for Sikkim in Ranji Trophy.
Bipul Sharma of Punjab is a left hand All-rounder, who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He has played for India-A, North Zone, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh Lions, Kings XI Punjab. He was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad squad in Indian Premier League 2018 and Mohammedan Sporting Club squad in Dhaka Premier League 2018. He has been playing professional cricket since 2004.
Ishwar Chaudhary of Gujarat is a Right Arm Medium fast bowler. He has played for India U19, West Zone, Gujarat, National Academy of India, Australian Centre of Excellence, and Kolkata Knight Riders. He has been playing for Gujarat since 2007.
Milind Kumar of Delhi is a right-hand batsman and an occasional off-break bowler. He has been playing for Delhi since 2010 and was part of Delhi Daredevils squad in Indian Premier League 2018.
The President of SCA, Lobzang G. Tenzing say, experienced guest players are expected to mentor and guide our talented Sikkimese players to the highest level of cricket in India and wish the team best of luck for the upcoming camp and Ranji Trophy season.
