“I am happy for this win as it is our first win of the tournament. I am also really happy for my today’s performance in the match. It is the first 5 wicket haul of my cricketing career. The main credit of this win goes to our batsman who brilliantly batted and scored a decent total and because of their performance we were able to bowl without the pressure and deliver a positive result. We are looking forward to the remaining games of the tournament and will give our best.”- says Dichen.
Purnima Rau, coach of the Senior team say, she is very happy with the performance of the girls in all the areas of the game. This is a historical win for Sikkim as it’s our first win in the Senior Nationals. The team is improving day by day and I am especially happy that the local players are contributing equally and performing well. Down the line in the next 5-6 years, I see girls from Sikkim even representing India.
