Sikkim Senior Women’s Team Defeated J&K By 5 Wickets
Senior Women’s Team of Sikkim is currently playing in Women’s Senior T20 Trophy 2019-20 at Nagpur, Maharashtra which has started from 15th October 2019. Sikkim will be playing a total of six matches in this tournament against Vidarbha, J&K, Haryana, Rajasthan, Odisha and Railways in Group B. So far two matches have been played and after a loss in the first match against Vidarbha, Sikkim came back strongly and won their Second match against Jammu & Kashmir today by 5 wickets.
Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) won the toss and elected to bat first. In the first innings, Sikkim restricted J&K to 86 runs with the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Sristi Rai and Shubhi Pandey took two wickets each; Pranita Chettri, Dichen Ongmu Lepcha and Ananya Upendran took one wicket each and played an important role in restricting the opponent.

In the second innings, Sikkim made 87 runs in 19.1 overs with Ananya Upendran scoring 29 runs, Tshering Ongmu Lepcha (20), Archana Das (9), Shubhi Pandey (7 not out), Purni Maya Gurung (5) and Pranita Chettri (1 not out), leading Sikkim to this win with earning 2 Point(s) and standing in fourth place in the Group Table.
