Sikkim Cricket Association Holds Annual General Meeting 2019
Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA) was held of 31st August 2019 at Gangtok, where all the Voting Right members, Administrative Staffs, Support Staffs, Senior Men and Women players and Under 23 players were invited. As per the new constitution of SICA and guidelines of The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the AGM is to be held before the end of September every year.
The meeting was started by the Sonam Palden Bhutia, Hony Secretary by addressing the gathering with annual reports of SICA. The Treasurer, Naresh Kumar Agarwal submitted his report before the stakeholders of SICA about all the expenditure incurred during the last financial year and also about the current financial position of SICA. Once all the reports were submitted, a presentation on “Workflow and Organisational recommendation for SICA” was showcased by Miss Dichen Dolker and a presentation by Architect Prayan Dixit was also given on the projected infrastructure and facilities that “Mining Cricket Ground” will be having once the ongoing construction is completed.
Various others matters like the construction of multiple cricket grounds of SICA, development of Cricket in the State, Appointment of CEO and Selectors, Regularisation of Administrative Staffs, training of Coaches and support staffs and players, Cricket Academies, election dates of SICA were discussed by the voting right and board members of SICA.
The meeting was concluded by a speech of the President of SICA, Lobzang G. Tenzing where he informed all that the BCCI and COA is watching SICA closely and also that the board is very impressed the way SICA is working towards the development of Cricket in the State and also that SICA is setting an example for rest of the newly included full members of BCCI.
