Sikkim Concludes Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 With A Win
Senior Men’s Cricket Team of Sikkim won their last match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 by 124 runs against Mizoram today at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Dehradun. They played a total of nine matches in the tournament and end the series with one win, one draw and seven losses. Sikkim earned 6 Point(s) in the plate division of this tournament.
Sikkim won the toss and chooses to bat first. They gave a target of 189 runs to the opponent with Iqbal Abdullah scoring the innings highest runs (56), Bibek Diyali (46), Dinesh Rai (15), Ishwar Chaudhary (15), Yahspal Singh (14), Nilesh Lamichaney (10), Padam Limboo (9 Not-Out), Ashish Thapa (7), Mandup Bhutia (6), Palzor (3) and Lee Yong Lepcha (2).

Padam Limboo took six wickets in six overs conceding only 20 runs, Iqbal Abdullah two wickets in five overs conceding 19 runs and Ishwar Chaudhary one wicket in three overs giving 11 runs. Mizoram was all out for 64 runs in 16 overs.
Top five scorer for Sikkim in this tournament is Yashpal Singh with 241 runs, Ashish Thapa (198 runs), Iqbal Abdullah (187 runs), Bibek Diyali (117 runs) and Ishwar Chaudhary (83 runs). Top five wicket-takers remained Iqbal Abdullah taking 10 wickets in nine matches, Padam Limboo and Ishwar Chaudhary 9 wickets each, Yashpal Singh 8 wickets and Plazor Tamang 4 wickets.
The Senior Men’s Team will be participating next in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a T20 tournament, where they will play a total of seven matches starting from the 8th of November 2019.
