SICA Successfully Concludes Level “O” Coaching Course

Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA) have organised a three days course for Level “O” Coaching, which was held at Sikkim Cricket Ground, Rangpo from 11th to 13th of November 2020. The course was successfully completed under Dr Atul Gaikwad, who has been honoured as the Director of Coaching of SICA and assisted by the senior coaches of Sikkim – Sonam Palden Bhutia and Amosh Rai.

Twenty-one participants participated in the course from all four districts of Sikkim including two female candidates. The coaching faculty covered all the aspects of the game, in which they teach grass-root level skills to coaches which covers all the basic techniques about batting, bowling, fielding and keeping. All the aspects were theoretically and practically covered during the course.

SICA will be sending all the participants for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) coaching level courses once there is an opening. SICA’s vision has always been to make a self-sufficient certified panel of Support staffs and so far it is one of the most efficient cricket associations in the zone.
