SICA President visits Mangan district

Sikkim Cricket Association President Mr Tika Subba made a visit to Mangan on Tuesday, where he met the officials of Mangan District Cricket Committee and discussed matters related to cricket development in the district.

Mr Tika Subba was accompanied by SICA coach Mr Sonam Palden Bhutia and others on his maiden visit to Mangan district after becoming the President of SICA. Mr Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia, Honorary Secretary, SICA, also joined the SICA team at Mangan.

At Mangan, he visited the office of Mangan District Cricket Committee and had a fruitful discussion on the promotion of the game in the district.

The President assured the district committee necessary support to enhance the cricketing amenities in the district.

Following the meeting, the President left for Namprikdang in Upper Dzongu to witness the concluding day contest of SICA ‘C’ Division matches hosted by Mangan District Cricket Committee.

The MDCC hosted Group ‘B’ clashes of SICA ‘C’ Division tournament at Namprikdang. A total of six matches were held between April 10 and 12.

The President also met representatives of local cricket clubs and took note of their cricketing needs.
