SICA Executives Meet IPL Governing Council Member In Kolkata, Discussed On Various Issues

The Sikkim Cricket Association delegation led by President Mr. Tika Subba paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Avishek Dalmiya, Member, IPL Governing Council, at Kolkata on February 4.

The SICA president was accompanied by Honorary Secretary Mr. Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia and Selector Mr. Karma Thendup.

This was the President and Secretary’s first meeting with the BCCI official after being elected as President in the month of January 2023.

Mr. Tika Subba discussed various issues pertaining to the development of cricket in Sikkim with Dalmiya. He also apprised Mr. Dalmiya of the need for additional cricket infrastructure in Sikkim including an extra cricket ground. Sikkim currently has only one standard cricket ground the Sikkim Cricket Ground at Mining, Rangpo.

Mr. Dalmiya responded positively and assured his full cooperation and support in achieving SICA’s goals. He has been a guiding light for all Northeast cricket bodies in the development of cricket in the respective state and we expect and appreciate his support as always.
