Sheril Lepcha To Join Gujarat Giants As Assistant Physio In WPL 2023

Sikkim Senior Women’s Cricket team physiotherapist Sheril Lepcha is set to join the Women’s Premier League 2023 (WPL) as an Assistant Physiotherapist for Gujarat Titans. She will be assisting with Dr Akanksha Satyavanshi, who had been the head physiotherapist in the previous World Cup.

The Women’s Premier League is an upcoming women’s Twenty20 cricket franchise league in India. The matches are scheduled to be held between 4th March to 26th March 2023 in Mumbai and NAVI Mumbai.

SICA thanked BCCI for taking this initiative to organise the first ever women’s premier league tournament and mentions that this is the biggest initiative taken by the BCCI to support woman’s cricket in India.

“I am very thankful to SICA who provided me the platform and exposure because of which I have been able to reach this level today,” added Sheril.
