SCA Holds Cricket Selection Trials For 3 Different Categories

Sikkim Cricket Association (SCA) holds selection trials for both men and women under three different categories being Under 19 Women’s for T20 League, Under 16 Men’s for Vijay Merchant Trophy (Multi-day) and Under 19 Men’s for Vinoo Mankad Trophy (One-day), in Mining Cricket Ground, Rangpo today.

Over 200 players’ participated in a day-long trial, where many new talents showed-up from all districts of Sikkim. A poll of 25 players’ in each category will be short out and send for camp before the respective categories tournament begins. The coaches and trainers have already been assigned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and will join the respective teams in the camp that will be held in a place allotted by the Board. At present we do not have a proper infrastructure to conduct a camp in Sikkim so BCCI will be allotting another place for camps. During the camp, out of 25 players’ 15 will be selected for the tournaments on the basis of their performance.
