SCA Calls For Emergency Meeting

An emergency meeting was called by Sikkim Cricket Association (SCA) on Sunday in Gangtok, where office bearers, support staffs and senior players were asked to attend. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Karma Gelek Bhutia, Vice President of SCA and was about the recent inclusion of Sikkim in upcoming Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season and other National Level tournaments that Sikkim will be playing.

During the meeting Sonam Palden Bhutia, General Secretary of SCA conveyed the entire members that this is a right time to prove individual talents of Sikkim Cricket in the National Arena. Not only the players but support staffs and office bearers should also work for the betterment of cricket in Sikkim. He also asked the players to take this opportunity seriously. The inclusion into Ranji Trophy is a golden opportunity to prove oneself and is a step to play at the higher level and even for the National side, he added.

While concluding the meeting, Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia, Joint Secretary of SCA said that all the support staffs taking up different roles and attending the training organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should be available for SCA when required and take the respective roles seriously. He also mentioned that “One Person One Role” should be applied in SCA and have asked all the support staffs to choose their role in which they are qualified/interested and want to work on.
