Pakyong XI triumphed in the 2024 SICA Men’s A Division final, defeating the Cricket Association of Tathangchen (CAT) by eight wickets.

Match Highlights

After winning the toss and choosing to field first, Pakyong’s bowlers, spearheaded by young talent Parvin Kuikel, dismantled the CAT batting lineup, restricting them to just 113 all out. Kuikel’s exceptional spin bowling earned him impressive figures of 4 wickets for 22 runs.

In response, Pakyong’s batting lineup led by Pranesh Chettri, Bhaskar Bhardwaj and Om Saini chased down the target smoothly, reaching 114 runs in just 17.1 overs.

A Long-Awaited Victory

This victory marks a significant achievement for Pakyong XI, who have now reached the finals in three consecutive tournaments. After finishing as runners-up in the 2023 A Division and the recent Vinod Pradhan Memorial Trophy, they finally clinched the title in 2024.
