Inter-school cricket competition gets underway in Mangan district

The Inter-School Under-16 Boys and Under-19 Girls Cricket Tournament for Mangan district kicked off on Thursday, July 10, at the Mangan Public Ground.

Shri Annat Jain, District Collector, Mangan, was the Chief Guest of the opening match, while Shri David Gyamtsho, Chief Education Officer, Mangan, and Shri Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia, Hon. Secretary, SICA, were the Special Guests.

In the opening match of the U-19 Girls’ tournament, Pakshek JHS defeated NSA by 33 runs. Pemjay Lepcha of Pakshek JHS was adjudged the Player of the Match.

Similarly, PM Shri Mangan Senior Secondary School defeated Manul Secondary School by 93 runs in the boys’ opening match. Aditya Tiwari from PM Shri MSSS was named the Player of the Match.
