Clubs From All Four Districts Qualifies For The Quarter-finals Of SICA Cricket Club Tournament 2020

The ongoing 1st Two-Tier Cricket Club Tournament of Sikkim taking place at Reshithang Sports Complex ground has now reached its Quarter Finals stage. The 8 clubs who have made it through to the quarterfinals are amazingly from all Four Districts of Sikkim. The quarterfinals start from the 30.10.20 till the 02.10.20. The 8 Clubs who have qualified are Royal North Brothers & Black Caps Lachung of (North District), HRCC & Jorethang Brothers Cricket Club (A) of (South District), Alpine Sporting Club & Black Eagle (SAP) of (East District), White Conch Cricket Club & Geyzing & District Cricket Welfare Association of (West District).

“The hard work invested in the last several years by Sikkim Cricket Association along with the District Committees and having adopted a proactive approach towards Cricket in the Districts of the State has now borne fruit. Today the results of the Tournament clearly show the success and effectiveness of this plan, with the 8 quarter finalists hailing from all 4 districts (2 each). I would also like to congratulate the 8 clubs of the quarter finals as they are now the Historic First A Division Clubs in Sikkim. The SICA family and the District bodies, Committees jointly hands over the first A Division Club Teams to the Cricket lovers of the State.” – said The President Mr. Lobzang G Tenzing.
