Senior Team Meet cum Orientation Program
A meeting cum orientation program was conducted by Sikkim Cricket Association (SCA) today at Hotel Sonam Delek on 7th September at 10.30 am for the 25 selected Senior Men’s players and support staff who will be attending a weeklong camp before the prestigious Vijay Hazare Trophy. The meeting was presided over by Lobzang G.Tenzing, President of SCA and General Secretary Sonam Palden Bhutia.
General Secretary gave briefing regarding the schedule of camp, plan of travel and handed over team Air tickets to Topden Lepcha who was earlier appointed as the manager of the team. The President shared his word of experience and gave his best wishes to the outgoing team members.
The 25 selected players and 2 support staff i.e. Physio and Manager will be leaving from Gangtok for the camp on 9th Sept which will be held at KITTS Bhubaneswar. During the one week, camp 15 players will be selected out of the 25 players under the guidance of the Coach of the team Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, a former Indian International cricketer who was earlier appointed as the Coach of the Sikkim Men’s senior team by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Then the selected 15 players plus 4 support staff will be heading towards Baroda to participate in the prestigious Vijay Hazare Trophy starting from 19th September 2018.
